The increased stress, pressure, and demands on the children of today have caused an alarming increase in childhood depression, health disorders, and antisocial behavior. However, numerous scientific studies of children facing great adversity have shown just how important resilience is for successful growth. 
Adapted from the book Raising Resilient children by Dr. Robert Brooks and Dr. Sam Goldstein, this topic deals with the concept of resilience, how resilience must be applied to every parenting practice and how children can overcome overwhelming obstacles in today’s complicated and ever-changing world.

This workshop aims to help educators to ahve an overview of learning difficulties and specific learning disabilities. It deals with the signs and symptoms of LD’s for early detection and intervention. Who says LDs = stupid, lazy or special school? Who says LD intervention = therapy is sufficient? Who says can always be diagnosed by Catergories/Labels? What is Non-Categorical Approach Intervention?
