Bridge Learning was conceived in the midst of a passionate calling to meet the needs of learners struggling in mainstream schools. The generous support from the Social Enterprise Fund (SEF) through the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) inaugurated the 1st One-Stop Diagnostic Learning Support and Specialised Intervention in Singapore.

The humble beginnings at the founder’s home in 2002 has developed into a one-stop centre for learning, behavioural, social-communication and emotional needs with the current premises spanning 2700 square feet in Choa Chu Kang.

Bridge’s mission is to fill in the gap to meet the learning and developmental needs of mainstream learners who experience difficulties in learning, have Learning Disabilities (LDs) and whose abilities are “in-between” mainstream schools and special schools. LDs may include Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder (ADD/ADHD).

Bridge’s response to the surging demand for effective and affordable specialized services and programmes under one roof offer many societal benefits. Bridge not only reduces the inconvenience and confusion many parents and community-at-large go through but also helps to minimize the costs of delayed or/and absence of intervention due to stringent criteria and age limits set by existing agencies. Together with No One Left Behind (NOLB), a non-for-profit organisation, Bridge Learning provides awareness, educational and training workshops for parents, educators and Singapore.

Bridge beams with gratitude and joy to have become the dwelling of real hope and help to many parents and young lives. Bridge boasts a track record of positive progress through Bridge Methodology of diagnostic, ability-driven, cross-level and multi-sensorial learning. The relatively lower fees have made specialised services more affordable for the average families. Financial subsidies are given to enable needy learners equal opportunity for specialised intervention.

As a cutting-edge Social Enterprise, Bridge Learning scores several firsts in Singapore. Bridge’s one-stop nature and functions make it a pioneer in Singapore. The credentials include innovative methodology and diagnostic programmes that combined therapy and academic works such as Diagnostic Assessments, Bridge Reading, Bridge Literacy, Bridge Numeracy and Bridge Neuro. The birthing of Bridge Piaget New Mathematics® (Taiwan) and Bridge Earobics® (USA) in Singapore add to the list.

Bridge Learning looks forward to Singapore taking great pride in locally developed methodology and programmes, and being a trailblazer in the field of education locally and regionally. We seek your strong support in bridging gaps and building lives together for our society, where no one is left behind.

Bridge Mission

To bridge the learning gaps between mainstream learners' latent potential and their current performance (average to high IQ) through providing quality diagnostic learning support and specialised intervention, so as to enable them to learn well, develop holistically and excel in life and in schools.

Social Mission

Every year, Bridge sets aside funds to provide subsidies to learners from low-income families to receive our learning support and intervention.

Our profits (if any) are channelled back to worthy charitable and social causes.

Bridge services are competitively priced, compared to those provided by other private organisations and even non-profit organisations in the specialised field.
We ensure lower fees so as to make such high-demand programmes and services available to more learners who do not qualify for subsidies.

Bridge Community Education Series For Parents is part of our social portfolio to
reach out, equip and educate parents in the community for free or at subsidised fees.

Bridge The TrailBlazer

Bridge Learning is a Social Enterprise supported by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS). Bridge beams with pride to be the first organisation to receive support and seed fund from MCYS in the field of diagnostic and specialised learning.

Bridge scores several other firsts in Singapore (expecting some copycats):

• One-stop centre in bridging the gap between the mainstream schools and special schools. Bridge meets the surging needs of providing quality support to intelligent learners who are misunderstood and under-supported.

These learners with different learning styles can be classified into several categories.
A. Highly gifted but under-stimulated learners
B. Learners who need more visual and tactile/kinaesthetic learning and are hindered by mainly auditory style of teaching
C. Those with mild to moderate learning difficulties
D. Those not meant for or those who do not qualify for special schools and need specialised support to manage mainstream curriculum

• One-stop centre in supporting various learning, behavioural, social-communication and emotional needs.

• Bridge Literacy and Bridge Numeracy are the first diagnostic programmes to integrate all the examination components required in the latest MOE syllabus by using genres of hundreds of books. These programmes are developed to meet the realistic and practical needs of meeting the curriculum demands. Existing specialised programmes offer phonics, linguistics rules or therapyworks alone.

• Bridge Neuro, Piaget New Mathematics® and Earobics® are birthed in Singapore through Bridge Learning.

We envisage bringing hope and quality help to many learners in Singapore and other countries through sharing our Bridge educational programmes and services locally & internationally.

Bridge’s Birth

Bridge Learning was conceived in the midst of passion mixed with positive frustration. The conspicuous call to act was both bothering and inspiring. Instead of sitting around, bitter and grumbling philosophically, Bridge was birth to supplement our educational system and benefit young Singaporeans by filling in the gap through our mission.

Bridge’s humble beginnings started at the founder’s home and was birthed into its current 2700 sqft premises after learning journeys to several countries like the United States, Australia and Taiwan.

The goal of these learning visits to the various private and public schools, educational centres, worthy education systems and resource centres was to search for, learn, adapt and integrate some of the education’s finest methodologies, pedagogies and resources for Bridge Learning in Singapore.

Proudly supported by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS), Bridge is set up in response to the high need of a one-stop diagnostic centre for learning, behavioural, social-communication and emotional needs.

Our concept is to house all these services under one roof for maximized benefits. Bridge Learning not only reduces the inconvenience and confusion many parents and community-at-large go through but also helps to minimize the costs of delayed or/and absence of intervention due to stringent criteria and age limits set by existing agencies.

Bridge seeks to collaborate closely with government agencies, schools, educators, parents and other caregivers in giving children and youths the hope and support that they need.
